By downloading, installing, or using the Eatbyle app (“App”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree, please do not use the App.


1. ABOUT EATBYLE

Eatbyle is a mobile application operated from Norway.

The App allows users to:

  • Discover restaurants
  • View deals and discounts
  • Save favorite places
  • Access loyalty features (such as stamp cards and weekly offers)
  • Access optional subscriber features (“Eatbyle Pro”)

2. USE OF THE APP

The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use only.

Eatbyle is provided “as is” and may be updated, modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without prior notice.

We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access if the App is misused, including attempts to manipulate or abuse deals, loyalty programs, or staff features.


3. STAFF MODE

Certain businesses may use a Staff Mode within the App to manage loyalty and promotional features.

Staff Mode requires:

  • A place code
  • A staff PIN
  • Device activation

When Staff Mode is activated:

  • The device may be registered in our secure backend systems.
  • A device identifier may be stored for security and access control purposes.

Staff access attempts may be rate-limited to prevent unauthorized access or brute-force attempts.

Eatbyle reserves the right to restrict or revoke staff access at any time for security reasons.


4. LOYALTY FEATURES

Eatbyle may provide loyalty systems including, but not limited to:

  • Weekly Boost (limited-use weekly discounts)
  • Stamp Card (“Buy X, Get 1 Free”)
  • Campaign-based promotions

Loyalty participation may require:

  • Device verification
  • Code validation
  • QR scanning

Loyalty features are subject to availability and may be modified or discontinued at any time.

Eatbyle reserves the right to invalidate loyalty usage if abuse, fraud, or manipulation is detected.


5. SUBSCRIPTIONS (EATBYLE PRO)

Eatbyle offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions that unlock additional features (“Eatbyle Pro”), including but not limited to:

  • Access to exclusive subscriber-only deals
  • Nearby Deal Alerts (location-based notifications)

Subscription features may change over time.


6. BILLING AND RENEWAL

Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.

Your store account will be charged within 24 hours prior to renewal for the next subscription period.

Pricing may vary by region and is displayed before purchase.


7. MANAGING OR CANCELING SUBSCRIPTIONS

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings.

Deleting the App does not cancel an active subscription.

Refunds are handled according to Apple App Store or Google Play policies and applicable law.


8. FREE TRIALS (IF OFFERED)

If a free trial is offered:

  • Any unused portion of a free trial will be forfeited when a subscription is purchased.
  • Free trials are subject to Apple App Store and Google Play policies.

9. NEARBY DEAL ALERTS (LOCATION-BASED FEATURE)

Eatbyle Pro subscribers may enable Nearby Deal Alerts.

If enabled:

  • The App may request permission to access device location.
  • Location access may include background location for geofencing notifications.

You acknowledge that:

  • Location access is optional and can be disabled at any time.
  • Notifications depend on device settings, connectivity, operating system behavior, and geofencing accuracy.
  • Eatbyle does not guarantee delivery, accuracy, or timeliness of notifications.
  • Eatbyle does not store continuous movement history or track users beyond functionality required for alerts.

If your subscription ends, access to this feature may be disabled.


10. QR CODE FUNCTIONALITY

The App may include QR scanning functionality to validate loyalty usage or promotional access.

QR scanning:

  • Does not store camera images.
  • Does not upload photos.
  • Is used solely to validate codes required for App functionality.

Eatbyle does not collect or store image data from QR scans.


11. DEAL INFORMATION DISCLAIMER

Deals, discounts, and restaurant information are provided by participating businesses and may change or expire without notice.

Eatbyle is not responsible for:

  • Incorrect pricing
  • Expired offers
  • Refused redemptions
  • Changes made by participating businesses

Users are responsible for confirming deal validity with the restaurant.


12. DATA AND PRIVACY

To operate the App and loyalty features, Eatbyle may store:

  • Anonymous device identifiers
  • Subscription status
  • Loyalty usage records
  • Staff device activation records

Device identifiers are used solely for:

  • App functionality
  • Security
  • Fraud prevention
  • Loyalty validation

Eatbyle does not collect personal identity information unless explicitly provided by the user.

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Eatbyle shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Use of or inability to use the App
  • Missed deals or notifications
  • Loyalty program interruptions
  • Subscription interruptions
  • Technical errors or outages

Your use of the App is at your own risk.


14. CHANGES TO TERMS

Eatbyle may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.

Continued use of the App after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.


15. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
